Fumio began producing the microorganism-based bacterial formula, Nature Formula, here in New Zealand after being taught the traditional method by a Japanese tutor. This product has been used in Japan for many years and is valued for its natural approach to supporting healthy systems. Nature Formula is an approved Food Safety product for use in agriculture, animals, and plants, providing beneficial microorganisms with biostimulant qualities.

After many years working in the New Zealand fishing industry, Fumio is now retired and continues this work purely as a passion, driven by his commitment to natural processes and sustainable practices.

EPL, Environment Preservation Laboratories LTD is a New Zealand Registered company and only uses ATCC registered bacteria which means the bacterium we use are safe under the Global Bioresource Centre whom monitor the micro-organisms that can be used safely around the world.
Our products are cost effective, organic and are of lactic acid bacteria which makes them safe and environmentally friendly making them an ideal Agricultural formula.
